All-on-4 dental implants in Colombia: per-arch prices, bridge materials and the two trips

Clinic-published prices run $6,900–13,250 per arch, depending on city and bridge material — against a US average of $15,176. Plan on two trips about six months apart.

All-on-4 replaces a whole arch of teeth with a fixed bridge anchored on four implants. It is the single most common reason US patients fly to Colombia for dental work, because the saving on a full arch is measured in thousands of dollars rather than hundreds — and because clinics in Medellín, Cali and Cartagena publish their per-arch prices openly.

This guide sets out those published prices by city and bridge material, what a full-mouth plan costs, what each quote should include, how the two trips work, and what to ask so a low number doesn’t turn into a high bill. Every figure links to the clinic page it came from.

01How much do All-on-4 dental implants cost in Colombia?

For one arch — upper or lower — clinic-published prices in 2026 run from $6,900 to $13,250. The spread comes from two things: the bridge material, and which city (and which clinic) you choose.

  • Colombia Care Dental, Medellín: $9,000 with an acrylic (hybrid) bridge, $9,900 porcelain, $10,600 zirconia1.
  • Dental Tourism Colombia, Medellín: $4,500 for the implants on trip one plus $4,500 for the acrylic bridge on trip two — $9,000 per arch2.
  • Dental Tourism Colombia, Cali: $2,880 + $4,020 = $6,900 with acrylic, or $2,880 + $7,980 = $10,860 with porcelain3.
  • Dental Tourism Colombia, Cartagena: $4,750 + $8,500 = $13,250 with porcelain; phase one with acrylic is $3,500, but the acrylic phase-two price isn’t shown on its table4.

The US comparison is CareCredit’s national average of $15,176 per arch, with a range of $11,640 to $27,5005.

Read split prices carefully. Dental Tourism Colombia lists each phase separately — implants on trip one, bridge on trip two — so the first line always looks lower than a single all-in figure. Add both phases before you compare clinics.

02Acrylic, porcelain or zirconia: what the bridge material changes

The implants underneath are broadly similar across quotes. The visible part — the bridge of teeth screwed onto them — is where prices diverge. Colombia Care Dental prices the same four implants three ways1:

Acrylic (hybrid)

  • Cheapest: $9,000 per arch at Colombia Care Dental; $6,900 at Dental Tourism Colombia in Cali
  • Lighter, and simpler to repair if a tooth chips
  • Wears and stains faster than ceramic

Porcelain or zirconia

  • Porcelain $9,900, zirconia $10,600 per arch at Colombia Care Dental
  • Harder surface that holds its color
  • Costs more to repair or remake if it fractures

At Colombia Care Dental the step from acrylic to zirconia is $1,600 per arch. At Dental Tourism Colombia’s Cali office the step from acrylic to porcelain is $3,960, because the whole difference sits in the phase-two bridge. Ask each clinic which ceramic it uses and whether the price covers a temporary bridge as well as the final one.

03What does full-mouth All-on-4 cost?

Full mouth means both arches. Colombia Care Dental publishes full-mouth All-on-4 from $18,000 — twice its acrylic per-arch price1. Doubling the other published per-arch figures gives a working range:

  • Acrylic on both arches: about $13,800 (Cali) to $18,000 (Medellín)
  • Porcelain on both arches: about $19,800 (Medellín) to $26,500 (Cartagena)
  • Zirconia on both arches: $21,200 (Colombia Care Dental)

These are our arithmetic on published per-arch prices, not quotes. A clinic may price a two-arch case differently once it sees your scan.

$30,352Two arches at the US national average of $15,176 each (CareCredit)

Many patients need only one arch. If your upper teeth are failing but the lower ones are sound, a one-arch plan with a crown or two on the other side is often the better value — ask for both options priced side by side.

04What an All-on-4 quote should include

Colombia Care Dental’s per-arch price lists extractions, the implants and abutments, a surgical guide, a temporary fixed bridge and the final fixed bridge, over two visits about six months apart, with an in-house lab1. Use that as a checklist for every quote.

Should be in the price

  • Four (or six) implants — with the brand named
  • Abutments (the connectors)
  • Extractions of remaining teeth
  • CBCT scan and a surgical guide
  • A temporary fixed bridge for the healing months
  • The final bridge, with its material named

Often extra — ask

  • Bone grafting or a sinus lift
  • Sedation
  • Replacement if an implant fails to integrate
  • Repairs to the temporary bridge
  • Hotel, airport transfers and flights
  • A night guard after the final bridge

05All-on-4 vs All-on-6

All-on-6 anchors the same kind of bridge on six implants instead of four. The extra two spread the biting load and leave a margin if one implant fails. It needs enough bone in the right places, which is why the dentist decides after the scan, not before.

ClinicCityPublished price (USD)What the price covers
Colombia Care Dental Medellín $9,900 / $10,800 / $11,500 Per arch — acrylic / porcelain / zirconia; full mouth (All-on-4, both arches) from $18,000

Prices as published on each clinic’s own site, seen September 22, 2026. They are starting prices, not quotes — every clinic sets the final price after reviewing your records or a consultation. We re-check them twice a year.

At Colombia Care Dental the premium for All-on-6 is $900 per arch in every material: $9,900 vs $9,000 acrylic, $10,800 vs $9,900 porcelain, $11,500 vs $10,600 zirconia1. If a clinic recommends six, ask why — a clear clinical reason (bone quality, a heavy bite) is a good sign.

06The two-trip timeline

The implants have to fuse with the jawbone before they can carry a permanent bridge. The Cleveland Clinic puts that at three to nine months6; Colombia Care Dental schedules the second visit about six months after the first.

  1. Before you flyRemote assessment. Send a panoramic X-ray or CBCT. Get a written plan naming the implant brand, the number of implants and the bridge material, with every phase priced.
  2. Trip 1 · about a weekSurgery. Scan, extractions, implant placement with a surgical guide, and a temporary fixed bridge. Check-ups before you fly.
  3. About 6 monthsHealing at home. Soft diet at first, careful cleaning around the temporary bridge. Your home dentist can check the gums.
  4. Trip 2 · about a weekFinal bridge. Impressions, try-in, the final acrylic, porcelain or zirconia bridge, and bite adjustment.
  5. HomeRecords. Implant brand, sizes and lot numbers, all scans, and the screw type for the bridge. A US dentist will need all of it.

If you need a bone graft first, add about three months of healing6 — sometimes a third trip. Ask the clinic before you book flights whether your scan suggests grafting.

07Are you a candidate?

Usually good candidates

  • Missing most teeth in an arch, or teeth that are failing
  • Wearing a removable denture and wanting fixed teeth
  • Enough jawbone for four angled implants (or willing to graft)
  • Able to make two trips several months apart

Talk to your doctor first if you

  • Have uncontrolled diabetes
  • Take bisphosphonates or have had jaw radiation
  • Smoke heavily — it raises the failure rate
  • Grind your teeth hard at night

If you still have several healthy teeth, ask whether individual implants or an implant-supported bridge would keep them. Our dental implant cost guide covers single-tooth prices.

The consultation is where the number of implants and the bridge material get decided — and where every phase should be priced in writing.

08Living with a full-arch bridge

A fixed bridge isn’t maintenance-free. Food collects under it, and the gums around the implants need the same care as natural teeth. In practice that means:

  • Daily cleaning under the bridge with a water flosser or special floss the clinic shows you how to use.
  • Regular professional cleanings at home, with the bridge removed by the dentist from time to time — ask your home dentist whether they service your implant system before you commit.
  • A night guard if you grind, especially with a ceramic bridge.
  • Planning for repairs. Acrylic teeth can wear or chip over the years; ceramic bridges are tougher but costlier to remake. Ask the clinic what a repair or replacement bridge would cost later, and whether you would need to return to Colombia for it.

09Verification, and what recourse you have

Every dentist practicing in Colombia must be registered in ReTHUS, the Ministry of Health’s health-workforce registry8; the lookup needs the dentist’s cédula number, which a legitimate clinic will give you. The clinic should be registered in REPS. Our verification guide walks through both.

Implants can fail anywhere. What changes abroad is follow-up: the CDC notes that patients treated abroad may not have the same legal recourse they would at home7. Before paying, get written answers to three questions — is a failed implant replaced at no charge, which implant system is used, and who you contact once you are home. Standard travel insurance generally excludes trips taken for treatment; see our travel insurance guide.

Your next step

Pick two or three clinics, send each the same X-ray, and ask for an itemized plan naming the implant brand and bridge material. Then check the dentist on ReTHUS before you book anything.

Common questions

How much do All-on-4 dental implants cost in Colombia?
Clinic-published prices run from $6,900 to $13,250 per arch in 2026. The low end is an acrylic bridge at Dental Tourism Colombia’s Cali office; the high end is a porcelain bridge at its Cartagena office. Colombia Care Dental in Medellín publishes $9,000 (acrylic), $9,900 (porcelain) and $10,600 (zirconia) per arch. The US national average is $15,176 per arch.
What does full-mouth All-on-4 cost in Colombia?
Full mouth means both arches, so double the per-arch price. Colombia Care Dental publishes full-mouth All-on-4 from $18,000 with acrylic bridges. At the same clinic, zirconia on both arches works out to $21,200.
What is the difference between All-on-4 and All-on-6?
All-on-6 uses six implants per jaw instead of four to anchor the same kind of fixed bridge. The extra implants spread the load and give a backup if one fails, at a higher price: Colombia Care Dental charges $900 more per arch for All-on-6 with the same bridge material ($9,900 vs $9,000 in acrylic).
How many trips to Colombia do I need for All-on-4?
Usually two. Trip one covers extractions, implant placement and a temporary fixed bridge. The implants then heal for several months — Colombia Care Dental schedules the second visit about six months later — and trip two fits the final bridge.
Will I have teeth while the implants heal?
Yes, at clinics that include a temporary bridge. Colombia Care Dental lists a temporary fixed bridge in its All-on-4 price, so you leave trip one with fixed teeth. Confirm this in writing, because a quote without the temporary can look cheaper.
Should I choose an acrylic, porcelain or zirconia bridge?
Acrylic is the cheapest and easiest to repair. Porcelain and zirconia cost more — about $900 and $1,600 more per arch at Colombia Care Dental — and resist wear and staining better. Ask the dentist which material suits your bite, and whether the price difference covers the final bridge only or both phases.
Can I get All-on-4 if I still have some natural teeth?
Often, yes — the remaining teeth are extracted during the first trip, and extractions are included in Colombia Care Dental’s per-arch price. Whether it is the right choice when some teeth are healthy is a clinical question; a second opinion from your home dentist is worth having before you commit.
Will I need a bone graft before All-on-4?
All-on-4 is designed to work with less bone than individual implants, because the rear implants are angled. Some patients still need grafting. The Cleveland Clinic notes that a bone graft adds roughly three months of healing before an implant can be placed, which can mean an extra trip.
What happens if something goes wrong after I fly home?
Get your full records before you leave: the implant brand and parts, X-rays and scans, and the bridge material. The CDC warns that patients treated abroad may not have the same legal recourse as at home, so ask the clinic in writing what it covers if an implant fails and who in the US can service the parts.
Is "all on 4 dental implants Colombia" treatment available outside Medellín?
Yes. Clinics publish All-on-4 prices for Medellín, Cali and Cartagena, and Bogotá has dental clinics that treat foreign patients. Medellín has the most clinics publishing full-arch prices in English.
