Veneers in Colombia: what porcelain and composite cost in 2026

Clinic-published porcelain veneers run $249–490 per tooth, composite from $119 — against $1,455 per porcelain veneer in the US. One trip of five to seven nights is typical.

Veneers are the fastest dental trip to Colombia: most patients fly in, have the work done in under a week, and fly home with the finished smile. That speed, and a price per tooth that is a fraction of the US average, is what draws patients from the US and Canada.

It is also a decision you can’t take back. This guide sets out what clinics publish for porcelain and composite veneers, what a full set of 20 costs, how long the trip takes, and why the enamel question matters more than the price. Every figure links to the clinic page it came from.

01How much do veneers cost in Colombia?

For porcelain veneers — the lab-made kind, usually IPS e.max — clinic-published veneers in Colombia price out at $249 to $490 per tooth in 2026:

  • Colombia Care Dental, Medellín: from $249 per tooth in IPS e.max; zirconia from $2891.
  • Clínica Viena, Medellín: $300 per tooth in e.max2.
  • Dental Tourism Colombia, Medellín and Cartagena: $490 per tooth3.
  • Prevedonto, Bogotá: from $175 per veneer — the page doesn’t say which material6.

In the US, CareCredit puts the national average at $1,455 per tooth, with a range of $1,020 to $2,5065. So how much is veneers in Colombia against home? Roughly a sixth to a third of the US price per tooth, before travel.

The gaps between clinics are real but narrower than they look. Line up each clinic’s veneers price list and the cheapest per-tooth figure isn’t always the cheapest smile: some price a full set as a package, and the material named in the row matters as much as the number. What veneers cost in Colombia depends less on the city than on the material and how many teeth you treat — so read every “veneers Colombia price” you’re quoted against the material and the tooth count.

02What does a full set of 20 cost?

Most people who travel for veneers do both arches — the eight to ten teeth that show when you smile, top and bottom. Clinics price that as a set of 20:

  • $4,950 — Clínica Viena, monolithic e.max; $6,000 for its layered “Signature” set2
  • $4,980 — Colombia Care Dental, porcelain1
  • $8,000 — Dental Tourism Colombia3
$29,100Twenty veneers at the US national average of $1,455 each (CareCredit)

Monolithic veneers are milled or pressed from a single block of ceramic; layered veneers have porcelain built up in layers for more translucency, which is why they cost more. Ask which you are being quoted.

How much for veneers in Colombia once the trip is added? The veneers in Colombia cost that matters is the total: take the clinic figure, add a round-trip flight and five to seven hotel nights, and you have the real number to compare with a US quote.

03Composite veneers in Colombia

Composite veneers are resin, sculpted and bonded directly onto the tooth. They usually need little or no enamel removal and can be done in fewer appointments. Composite veneers Colombia clinics publish:

Composite veneers — published clinic prices
ClinicCityPublished price (USD)What the price covers
Colombia Care Dental Medellín from $119 Composite, per tooth
Clínica Viena Medellín $1,950 Composite, full set of 20
Dental Tourism Colombia Cartagena $250 Composite per tooth; 20 for $4,500

A full set of 20 composite veneers is published at $1,950 at Clínica Viena2 and $4,500 at Dental Tourism Colombia in Cartagena4. CareCredit gives $1,068 as the US figure for a single composite lab veneer5.

04Porcelain vs composite

Porcelain (e.max and similar)

  • Made in a lab from a scan or impression
  • Resists staining; holds its shine
  • Usually needs some enamel removed
  • Costs more; a chipped veneer is replaced, not patched
  • Colombia: $249–490 per tooth

Composite (resin)

  • Sculpted and bonded in the chair
  • Stains and chips more readily
  • Little or no enamel removal in many cases
  • Cheaper, and can be repaired in the chair
  • Colombia: from $119 per tooth

Colombia Care Dental lists IPS e.max, IPS Empress, Lava (3M) and 3M Filtek among its materials, with Variolink Esthetic cement1; Clínica Viena names e.max and Amber Press2. Ask for the brand in your written plan — Burbano Dental Studio in Bogotá, for instance, says it specifies exact brands in the written plan7.

05Preparation is permanent

This is the part of the decision that deserves the most thought. For most porcelain veneers the dentist removes a thin layer of enamel so the veneer sits flush with the neighboring teeth. Enamel does not grow back. Once a tooth is prepared, it needs a veneer or crown for the rest of your life, and every replacement is a new bill.

That has three practical consequences:

  • Ask how much enamel will be removed, tooth by tooth, and whether a no-prep or minimal-prep option suits your teeth.
  • Approve a mock-up first. A temporary try-in or digital smile design lets you see shape and shade before anything irreversible happens.
  • Think about the long term. Veneers are eventually replaced. Ask what a single replacement costs, and whether a dentist at home can match the shade.

06How the trip works

Unlike implants, veneers are a single trip. Colombia Care Dental quotes two to five treatment days (five to seven hotel nights), with veneers made in its own lab in the same building1; Clínica Viena about four to five days over three visits2; Burbano Dental Studio one trip of five to ten days7.

  1. Before you flyPhotos and plan. Send smile photos and any recent X-rays. Get the number of teeth, the material and the total price in writing.
  2. Day 1Consultation and design. Exam, cleaning if needed, scan, and a smile design or mock-up for your approval.
  3. Day 2Preparation. Enamel preparation where needed, impressions or scan, temporaries.
  4. Days 3–5Try-in and bonding. The lab makes the veneers; you try them in, adjust shade or shape, and they are bonded.
  5. Before you fly homeBite check. A final check a day or two later. Take the material, shade and lab details with you.

Build in a spare day. If a veneer needs to be remade, you want that to happen before your flight, not after.

07Veneers in Medellín, Bogotá and Cali

Veneers in Medellín, Colombia are where most of the published prices come from: Colombia Care Dental, Clínica Viena and Dental Tourism Colombia all list per-tooth and full-set figures. See our guide to English-speaking dentists in Medellín for a side-by-side of what each publishes.

Bogotá: Prevedonto publishes veneers from $175, material unstated6. Burbano Dental Studio doesn’t publish prices. More in our Bogotá dental guide.

Veneers in Cali, Colombia: we found no clinic-published veneer price for Cali, so prices there are on request. Dental Tourism Colombia has a Cali office; ask for a written quote and use the Medellín figures above as your benchmark. Our Cali dental guide covers what is published there.

08How to judge a veneer clinic

We don’t rank clinics, and people searching for the “best veneers in Colombia” are better served by a checklist than a list. A clinic worth your trip will:

  • Tell you the treating dentist’s name and cédula number so you can check the licence on ReTHUS — our verification guide shows how
  • Name the veneer material and number of teeth in a written quote
  • Show you a mock-up or smile design before preparation
  • Explain how much enamel it will remove, and why
  • Put its remake policy in writing — what happens if a veneer chips or comes off after you go home
  • Let you speak with the dentist directly on a video call, not only a coordinator

Be wary of a price that seems to cover an entire smile but doesn’t say how many teeth, and of any pressure to add teeth once you are in the chair.

Porcelain veneers are finished in a dental lab; clinics with a lab on site can turn them around within the trip.

09Risks, and what recourse you have

Common problems with veneers are sensitivity after preparation, a veneer that debonds or chips, a shade or shape you don’t like, and gum irritation at the margins. Most are fixable while you are still in the city — which is the argument for the spare day.

Once you are home, fixes are harder. The CDC notes that patients treated abroad may not have the same legal recourse they would at home, and recommends bringing back complete records8. Get the remake policy in writing before you pay. Standard travel insurance generally excludes trips taken for treatment — see our travel insurance guide.

Your next step

Send the same smile photos to two or three clinics, ask each for the material, the number of teeth and the enamel plan in writing — then check the dentist on ReTHUS.

How to verify a dentist in Colombia

Common questions

How much are veneers in Colombia?
Clinic-published porcelain veneer prices run from $249 to $490 per tooth in 2026 — from $249 (IPS e.max) at Colombia Care Dental, $300 at Clínica Viena and $490 at Dental Tourism Colombia. Composite veneers start at $119 per tooth. The US national average is $1,455 per porcelain veneer.
How much does it cost to get veneers in Colombia for a full smile?
A full set of 20 porcelain veneers is published at $4,950–6,000 at Clínica Viena, $4,980 at Colombia Care Dental and $8,000 at Dental Tourism Colombia. Twenty composite veneers run $1,950 (Clínica Viena) to $4,500 (Dental Tourism Colombia, Cartagena). Add flights and five to seven hotel nights.
How long do I need to stay in Colombia for veneers?
Usually one trip. Colombia Care Dental quotes two to five treatment days (five to seven hotel nights); Clínica Viena about four to five days over three visits; Burbano Dental Studio in Bogotá one trip of five to ten days.
Porcelain or composite veneers: which should I choose?
Porcelain (usually IPS e.max) is made in a lab, resists staining and costs more. Composite is sculpted in the chair from resin, costs less and is easier to repair, but stains and chips more readily. Your enamel, bite and budget decide it — ask the dentist to explain why they recommend one over the other.
Are veneers reversible?
Porcelain veneers usually are not. The dentist removes a thin layer of enamel so the veneer sits flush, and enamel does not grow back — the tooth will need a veneer or crown for life. Ask how much enamel will be removed on each tooth before you agree.
Who is the "best dentist for veneers in Colombia"?
We don’t rank dentists. Judge any clinic on the same checks: a dentist you can verify on ReTHUS, a clinic registered in REPS, the veneer material named in writing, a smile-design mock-up you approve before any enamel is removed, and a written policy on remakes if a veneer chips or debonds.
Where can I find the "best veneers in Medellín, Colombia"?
Medellín has the most clinics publishing veneer prices in English — Colombia Care Dental, Clínica Viena and Dental Tourism Colombia. Compare them on material, number of teeth, what the price covers and the remake policy; see our guide to English-speaking dentists in Medellín.
Can I get veneers in Cali, Colombia?
Yes, but we found no clinic-published veneer price for Cali, so prices there are on request. Dental Tourism Colombia runs a Cali office; use the Medellín figures on this page as a benchmark when you ask for a quote.
Searching for a specific clinic such as "Veneers Studio Colombia" or "Perfect Smile Veneers Colombia"?
Run the same checks on any clinic, whatever its brand name: ask for the treating dentist’s name and cédula number and look it up on ReTHUS, confirm the clinic in REPS, and get the veneer material, number of teeth and total price in writing before you fly.
Why does the Colombia veneers price vary so much between clinics?
Mostly material and packaging: e.max porcelain, layered porcelain and composite are priced differently, and some clinics sell a full set of 20 as a package. Compare quotes on the same material and tooth count.
Does the veneers Colombia cost include the trip?
No. Clinic prices cover the dental work; flights and five to seven nights of lodging are extra. Some clinics add airport transfers — ask what the quote includes.
How long do veneers last?
It depends on the material, your bite and how you care for them — porcelain generally outlasts composite. Avoid biting hard objects, wear a night guard if you grind, and ask the clinic what a single replacement veneer would cost later.
